 Welcome to Sane Guruji Vidya Prabodhini, Khiroda.You are in a country where no one is a foreigner, Where all human races for ages, are living together.You are in country where teacher, mother and fathers are Gods.And do you know? Where you, the guests, too, are regarded as the God.You are in a country where women are worshipped and not merely loved, where nothing shines like the shyness of a woman. You are in country where poverty and nobility live together Where poor & great are more remembered than Kings & MonarchsWhere sacred stones are costlier and greater, than the costlier diamonds.You are in a country where right is might,Humility is not weakness & where knowledge is power. The staunch freedom fighter ardent worker and faithful follower of the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Dadasaheb Chaudhari started the Ashram in 1931 to back up the activities in Khadi movement, child education, removal of untouchablity, Harijan Seva Shramdan brought about a transformation in agriculture cottage industries, Health Education and Transportation. Dadasaheb Chaudhari hosted the National Conges session held in 1936 and Gandhiji took the opportunity to visit Khiroda and commended the mission of Dadasaheb Chaudhari. He said “Khiroda is a place of pilgrimage for me ’’ To make it a systematic endeavor, Dadasaheb Chaudhari turned the ashram in full fledge Education Institution “Janta Shikshan Mandal ’’ (Mass Education Society) and concentrated on social development through education at all stages.

        In 1970, Hon’ble Madhukarrao Chaudhari as a Minister for School Education sanctioned some new colleges of Education and college at his village Khiroda was one such college of education. His progressive ideology and deep thinking made the college a Prabodhini viz. a comprehensive college of Education.

        His deep belief that “ No nation can be more vibrant and growing than the Education system of her country and no Education system can be more vibrant and growing than the teacher implementing it. ’’ Shaped the ideology, programmes and the philosophy of the Prabodhini. The college was aptly named after the great teacher Sane Guruji.

     Jalgaon district is well known as Education Hub of Maharashtra state (India). To meet the growing demands of a constantly changing environment, graduates of the twenty first century need to be equipped with a range of skills. The only certainty is that the pace of change will not slow down and it is the confident development of self knowledge and interpersonal skills, coupled with academic learning & experience.May your stay become happier and your mind nobler and broader.

It is an honour and privilege to be the principal of Sane Guruji Vidya Prabodhini, Comprehensive College Of Education, Khiroda, the College of Education that stands for excellence and continuously sets the highest standards, the college of Education that is an Alma Mater which all alumni look back  with fond memories, the College of Education that has given to this country many distinguished teachers, great personality and visionary leaders in diverse field.

This College is not new to me. I am Ex. student of B.Ed & M.Ed of this same College of Education. I am very fortunate in this sense, that I am playing my vital role as a principal of this College of Education since last seven years. This period has been a journey of great learning for me. As it is said, “One who dares to teach must never cease to learn.” I have learnt not only from my senior and colleagues, but also from my students and parents, through continuous interactions. I also have the advantage of having in contiguity closely with late honourable Madhukarrao Chaudhari who conceptualized the very idea of establishing this reputed College of Education at Khiroda as a model college in rural area imparting teacher education.

I am committed not only to maintain the impeccable image and highest standards, but also to carry them forward to new heights.

The importance of education in the life of an individual cannot be overstated. It shapes individuals in their formative years and imbues them with values that would govern all their choices in life. It is said, “If you are planning for year, sow rice; if you are planning for decade plant trees; if you are planning for life time, educate people.” Indeed, one can even say that the quality of education will determined the destiny of the nation.

For me education does not mean providing answers. It means equipping the students with the means to find the answers for himself and within himself. Education empowers students to discover themselves- who they are as people. Within each student there is scientist , educationist , an ideal teacher , a social activists , a sports person , an environmentalist , a poet , an author , an economists and a visionary leader for nation.  The teacher support them in channelizing resources vis-à-vis their dreams, thus sustainably generating civilize and productive human capital for serving our mother land in line with the Sane Guruji Vidya Prabodhini’s motto, “Enlightening the masses through education.”

Over the years in this College of Education, I have witnessed in our students an unparalleled knowledge base, a vibrant dynamism, an acute consciousness about the world around them, a focussed ambition and a sustained commitment. I am also fortunate to have an experienced and committed team, which has brought this college of education to its present stature. I along with my team of silent workers and dedicated faculty intend to build on this strong foundation and raised the standards in all spheres, to the zenith. My aim is not only to be an able administrator but also to be a friend, manager, philosopher and guide to students one whom they can count on and trust at all times. I assure you that my doors will always be opened to the students and their parents for any suggestions or guidance in the form of feedback.
